Description
Daccordi was founded in Tuscany in 1937 and still exists today. But in 1981 things change when Luigi Daccordi took over his father's company. From then on, Daccordi made racing bike frames for professional use.
The Daccordi Turbo from 1984 was Daccordi's top model at the time, which can be seen from several details: The light and stiff steel frame is made of Columbus SL tubes. The saddle and down tube have been squeezed for less air resistance to obtain a teardrop-shaped and wind-slippery shape. For more rigidity, the top tube was pressed in four times on the long side. The frame was also coated with nickel for better corrosion protection.
The racing bike is equipped with a complete first-generation C-Record groupset. Part of this group is probably the most beautiful crankset with engraved logo, Cobalto brakes as an alternative to the Delta brakes as well as the very first brake levers from Campagnolo where the brake cables are allowed to be routed aerodynamically under the handlebar tape.
Only high-quality attachments such as the Cinelli Volare SLX saddle, a Cinelli cockpit and wheels with only 28 spokes were mounted on this special collectors item.
